Leadership
The leadership of Gloria Dei consists of four groups:
- Membership
- Board of Directors
- Staff
- Volunteer Leaders
Membership
You don't have to be a member of Gloria Dei to be very engaged in our ministry. Members are those who commit to support the ministry of Gloria Dei with their time and financial resources. We know we can count on them! Membership indicates the acceptance of responsibility for our ministry, not access to privileges.
Board of Directors
Our 11-member Board of Directors is elected by the membership. The Executive Leader reports to the Board of Directors.
The BOD generally meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Meetings are open to anyone unless designated "closed" by the board. The board organizes an annual Voters Meeting to approve the Financial Operating Plan, and vote on specific actions and resolutions. More...
Staff
The Executive Leader oversees the church staff, and is responsible for aligning resources of all types to achieve the mission. Pastors, teachers, and other ministry professionals make up the staff. Contact the Staff
Volunteer Servant Leaders
Selected and trained by the staff, volunteer servant leaders help lead our groups, service teams, neighborhood groups, etc.
Can Non-members Participate in Leadership?
Yes. While there are some positions that require membership, most volunteer and leadership positions at Gloria Dei are open to trained non-member servant leaders.
