Friday, February 14, 2020 - Monday, February 17, 2020
The Women's Discipleship Adventure group will be traveling to Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the Texas panhandle for a 4-day adventure. We will gather at Gloria Dei, pile into our van, and leave early in the morning on Friday, February 14th, to make the ten-hour drive to the panhandle. Don't fear the cold - we have rented a cozy 3-bedroom cabin where we will be able to gather, cook, build friendships, and work through a special devotion designed just for the trip. On Saturday and Sunday we will make the 30-minute drive over to the canyon and do some winter-based hiking along both the rim and down into the canyon. We might not be at Gloria Dei, but we will have a special devotional and worship time on Sunday morning. On Monday, February 17th, we will get up early in the morning to make the drive back to Houston and home.
This does promise to be true winter hiking, so plan to dress for the weather! Not a hiker or not sure about preparing to hike in the winter? Join the women of Women's Discipleship Adventures for their monthly meetings and every other Saturday for local training "hikes" where we gather to grow in our faith and our hiking skills. We would love to have you join us as we walk in faith with our Lord and each other.
