As Christians, we are given the responsibility of being good managers over the financial resources we have been blessed with and to share them as God has directed us. The support of the work of the Lord's kingdom at Gloria Dei takes place in many ways. For example, our Mission and Ministry Fund provides funds for the needs outlined in the operating budget of the congregation. Our Capital Campaign (When God Opens the Door) assists us in advancing the Lord's kingdom by providing appropriate facilities for our growing ministries. Our Lutheran Education Fund provides financial assistance to our members who are attending Lutheran schools and universities. The Endowment Fund looks to the more distant future so that ministry has the available resources for generations to come.

Special Gifts
Many people have a desire to support the work of the Lord in a special way. We want to encourage special giving that is over and above the individual's regular gifts. Gifts designated for use at Gloria Dei must be in accord with our mission and vision. The following items are current and future needs of the congregation: debt reduction, Benevolence Fund, Lutheran Education Fund, Helping Hands, video projector for the Worship Center, organ pipes for the Worship Center, land for future development, Arts at Gloria Dei, Central American Lutheran Mission Society (CALMS).
When emergency situations arise in our community and in the world, such as hurricane Katrina or the tsunami disaster, a special appeal will be made for a "Door Offering" to assist those in need. You may respond to these efforts as the Lord moves you and as you are financially able.

Automated Giving
A reliable, safe way to move your stewardship plan into action is Simply Giving. Through Simply Giving, your gifts to Gloria Dei are made through a pre-authorized withdrawal from your bank account or a charge to your credit card. You determine the amount and the frequency of your automatic gift - weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly - the option is yours. There is no cost to you to participate in Simply Giving. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans pays all transaction fees as a gift in support of Lutheran congregations.
