Our Junior High Ministry exists to bring students to KNOW God, to challenge them to GROW in their faith, to encourage them to LIVE for Jesus Christ and to equip them to GIVE themselves to God's work.

The Jr Hi team is committed to students experiencing God's love for them in a way that is real, relevant and relational.  We want students to grow in their relationship with Christ, build relationships with their peers, and have an ongoing mentor relationship with adults.  We do this in lots of ways: Sunday morning IMPACT, small groups, Under Construction Confirmation, fun events, retreats, mission trips, and leadership opportunities.  These are all part of the effort to help each student find a home in our ministry.  No matter what, one thing is for sure - if Jr Hi students are involved, it's going to be loud.

We know that the Jr Hi years, grades 6-8, are critical. Students are faced with a lot of decisions, and at times life is like a roller coaster - full of ups and downs.  The Jr Hi team is passionate about partnering with parents to build a strong faith commitment before students enter high school.  Gloria Dei's Jr Hi ministry is designed with junior high students as our main focus.  For more information, contact Pastor Lonnie Gonzales, at lgonzales@gdlc.org
