Girlfriends at Gloria Dei

All women need girlfriends!  And that's what we are about - helping women connect to other women and to Jesus.  We invite you to come and grow with us through Girlfriends at Gloria Dei.
Friendships to encourage you - Whenever women come together and share in the love of Christ, friendships develop and deepen. Thursday mornings during the school year, moms find encouragement, fun and wisdom shared at the MOMS group.
Bible studies to enrich you
- Weekly Bible classes on Wednesday mornings and Monday evenings are a place where you can grow in your knowledge of God's Word and learn how it can really make a difference in how you live your life.
Girls Nights Out to refresh you - Enjoy an evening out with your girlfriends - these evenings are designed for laughter and just plain fun. It might be a special party or a night at the movies.  These and other women's events are planned just for you and your friends.

For more information, contact Julie Requadt, Director of Women's Ministries, at jrequadt@gdlc.org.

My God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:19

WOMEN OF THE WORD
Women's Bible Studies begin in January 2010.
All women are invited to come and make new friends as they grow in their love for Jesus.  Come to the class of your choice on Monday evenings or Wednesday mornings.  If you need childcare please email sgomez@gdlc.org to reserve your child's space.

Mondays, beginning on January 18th at 7:00pm
Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman by Beth Moore. Esther is a profile in courage as she stands firm and trusts in God to save her people from destruction. This study taught by Beth Moore contains many modern parallels for today's woman. Esther's destiny can be yours as you know more deeply the God who is in your corner. Facilitator: Debbie Baacke  dbaacke@hotmail.com

Wednesdays, beginning on January 20th at 9:00am
Judges - Continue on the journey through Judges, see how God rescues his people time after time.  The Israelites forgetting their need for God, turn from Him. God in his persistent, unwearied love, saves them.  He will not let them go.  Learn about this God who is for us, not against us, who offers us new opportunities each day.
Facilitators: Kathie and Gwen Stocker  gwenstocker@hotmail.com

Jesus, The One and Only  Come along with Beth Moore "through the hills of Galilee with the Teacher, across the lake with the Master, and finally, on the road toward the cross with the Savior. Get to know Jesus intimately...as though you had walked with Him during His days of earthly ministry." Join us for 'another of Beth's page-turning, never-put-down studies. Incredible!"
Facilitated by Teresa Gay  281.474.9033

Spiritual Discernment: Why We Need It and How to Acquire It  We need to be able to determine what is really true. Everyday we hear countless voices—some belong to co-workers, neighbors, or the media, others exist within us—memories, emotions, or desires.  It is critical than we learn to distinguish the 'still small" voice of God.

COME AS YOU ARE & Bring Your Girlfriends
Come join us the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. We will make creative cards or scrapbook pages – no experience is necessary, and you will meet new girlfriends. The evening begins with a devotion from God’s Word.
Please reserve your space by emailing susannefranson@mac.com. We want to have supplies for everyone.
