South Lake Church Update Information
South Lake Community,
As we continue to Engage, Grow, and Share Jesus in our community relationships we are continuing to find new opportunities to share Jesus in these unprecedented times. As South Lake and Gloria Dei continue to monitor all that it is happening in our communities, we are moving all of our gatherings to be virtual-only. Starting with tonight’s P’s and Q’s, we will still gather but will be doing so online via Facebook Live. You will find Facebook Live feeds and information on our Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/EngageGrowShare/) where we will continue to have Events for each gathering.
Information for Ps & Qs tonight (March 17) can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/393643877929603
I am excited to announce we will be gathering online Thursday March 19th and 20th for a time of prayer and fasting via Facebook. Use this link to visit the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/2587511041567351/ While there will not be a single, dedicated Facebook Live event for this, I want to encourage you to post in the discussion section: prayers, experiences, your own Facebook Lives, and videos of how prayer and fasting have affected you and our community. This is a great opportunity for us to pour into the lives and relationships of each other.
As for Worship this Sunday, more details will follow but please join us on Facebook Live 10:30am.
As a church family, we need to be there for one another. This global situation affects each of us differently. If you need a visit during the week, need to reach out for help, have questions or concerns, or just want to talk about this situation, please email me at
For more information, please refer to Pastor Dan’s email from today. If you did not get this email, please contact me and I will make sure you get it. Also be reminded that you can engage with the South Lake community through our website (www.SouthLakeLC.org), Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/EngageGrowShare) and Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/southlakelc).
Finally, I am reminded of some excellent insight from Christian writers Martin Luther and C.S. Lewis regarding times such as these. I have included those words for you below.
The Lord Bless You and Keep You during this time. He is our Father, we can call him “Abba”. When two or three are gathered, Jesus promises to us, He is with us. The Lord’s peace be upon your heart.
Martin Luther wrote:
Therefore I shall ask God mercifully to protect us. Then I shall fumigate, help purify the air, administer medicine, and take it. I shall avoid places and persons where my presence is not needed in order not to become contaminated and thus perchance infect and pollute others, and so cause their death as a result of my negligence. IF God should wish to take me, he will surely find me and I have done what he has expected of me and so I am not responsible for either my own death or the death of others. If my neighbor needs me, however, I shall not avoid place or person but will go freely, as started above. See, this is such a God-fearing faith because it is neither brash nor foolhardy and does not tempt God.

"Relationships with Jesus"
All About South Lake Church
Life is constantly bringing change, often distancing us from things that are familiar, such as moving, new jobs, and new or altered relationships. These transitions lead us to seek out what’s next in our lives. South Lake Church is about being an intimate and non-judgy community helping each other find and take those next steps. South Lake is focused on investing in our relationships with Jesus as well as the numerous other relationships in our lives.
Here at South Lake,
We Engage, Grow, and Share
Jesus in our community relationships.

the heart of South Lake Church
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
