Why we Work
We work to grow in our faith. We acknowledged that we are not equipped to be the only and complete living example of God’s workmanship for everyone else, nor the only one with a heart committed to Christ. We acknowledge that the success and future of the Body of Christ does not ride on our shoulders, but on Jesus Himself, the Head of His Body.
We recognize that the role God has given us as individuals in His church is to identify and put into action the spiritual gifts He has given each of us so that His Body is not lacking what He wants to do through us.
We then thank God for the many faithful people that He puts around us to encourage and work together to build His Body in love, as each part does its work.
From him the whole body,
joined and held together
by every supporting ligament,

Who is This Ministry For?
Retired men desiring to:
Stay physically active
Grow in relationships with other men
Grow spiritually
Serve others
Two Ministry Groups
There are two ministry groups based on men’s life space.
Weekly Group - meets weekly during the work week. Men in this group are in most cases retired.
Quarterly Group - Meets on Saturdays only once each quarter.
Both groups meet in the morning at 9 AM and finish their work by 12 noon.
What Works Do We Aim to Do?
Ground Works - Outdoor projects at the church campus to help make aesthetic improvements and to support and bolster on site ministry growth. Secondarily we support ongoing general maintenance.
*Widow Works - Supporting the home grounds work needs of widows/widowers or others who are not capable, either physically or financially to do so. We envisioned these efforts to be projects, not ongoing weekly, monthly or periodic maintenance.
*Ramp Works - Construct handicap ramps for local people who are identified by member Tracy Ankemen.
Relationships Works - Growing and maturing in relationships with other Christ serving men. exercising both physically and spiritually.
Spiritual Works - Sharing in scripture, conversation and prayer, growing in faith and developing accountability.
When and Where do we meet?
Weekly Group Meets at the church every Thursday at 9 AM at the entrance to His Masterpiece Gardens (HMG).
These gardens represent the first project envisioned and implemented by Men at Work. We work at all projects until we get the job done or 1 PM at the latest whichever comes first. We return to that project the following week or weeks until it is completed.
