Acolytes
We are looking for students to serve in the 8am service on Sundays and during holy days. These students have the important job of opening worship by carying the cross forward and lighting the altar candles.
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others. 1 Peter 4:10
We are always mindful that we are living in the presence of the risen Christ. This mindfulness prompts us to ask questions. “What is God doing in this situation? How is God directing me? How might I be helpful right now?” There are many serving opportunities at Gloria Dei, and beyond, to fit your giftedness, passion, experiences and availability. You will be blessed as you serve others.
If you are ready to get started, or if you have questions, please contact Pastor Randy. He will help you to identify the best place for you to serve, considering your schedule and availability, your interests and what the current needs are at Gloria Dei.
Most of our volunteer positions don't require special skills, other than a willingness to serve. For those opportunities that require special skills, training is provided.
No problem. Just let your ministry leader know and we can plug you into another area.

The Acts of Kindness team provides encouragement to our staff at Gloria Dei by remembering them at various times throughout the year. The ministry also provides snacks and goodies, during the year, for our congregation.
This is a behind the scenes ministry that Gloria Dei can’t do without! You can embroider beautiful baptismal napkins, or join our Altar Guild team, who set up/clean up our communion supplies and serve on a 3-month rotation.
Volunteers are medically trained members (Nurse, EMT, P.T., P.A, etc.) willing to assist with blood pressure checks and health counseling on 4th Sundays.
Do you look at the big screen in the worship service on Sunday mornings? We need more volunteers to service in this ministry!
The Comfort Dog ministry provides a bridge to open doors for conversations about faith. The GDLC dog, Joy, is the bridge to connect members of Team Joy to people and share the mercy, compassion, presence and proclamation of Jesus Christ.
Holy Communion is given by God as a means of grace for the forgiveness of sins and an expression of His love for us in Christ. We hold the practice of communion in high regard for the Sacrament as Christ instituted it.
There are many opportunities to volunteer and share your time, talents, knowledge and love of Jesus, directly benefiting the students and faculty at Day One Christian Academy.
The Dei Break Café brings a little touch of hospitality to Gloria Dei. We welcome everyone with a smile and provide delicious sweets and savory warm breakfast foods at a low cost for all who stop by.
